Class Time: Learn to Make Better Photos
Ramp up your photo skills this summer by taking a class.
I love to teach and share what I’ve learned with others. I finished one class last month, but there are still three more chances to spend some time learning about flower photography with me in July and August at fantastic locations in Oregon and Washington.
I must be doing something right, because my students keep writing good things on their evaluation forms.
A few student comments from my iPhone Photography class at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham last month:
“Excellent — learned more than I knew to ask!”
“Fun and informative.”
“Loved the demonstrations, feedback, and your personable presentation.”
Join the fun and learn to take your photography up a notch in one of the classes I’m teaching this July and August.
In all of my classes I combine examples I’ve shot, personal hands-on instruction, a non-intimidating way to help you understand the technical stuff, and ideas to explode your creativity. One-day and three-day classes end with a gentle group critique where you’ll share a few of your favorite images from the field session and I’ll make comments about what you did well and how you can make your photography even better.
One of my students at North Cascades Institute last year wrote this on their evaluation form:
Mark is an excellent teacher; he was able to move from those of us with no experience to others who aspire to take photos professionally. This isn’t easy to do but he treated everyone, regardless of experience or ability, with respect and a willingness to help at all levels.
