Lifestyle Family Portraits Tell Your Story
One of the things I’ve come to enjoy most in the process of photographing gardens over the past 15 years is meeting and getting to know many gardeners. There are a lot of smiles out there in the world, and I’ve been missing out by not photographing some of them.

In 2009 I added lifestyle family portraits to my repertoire. A lifestyle portrait combines a landscape, a family, and a favorite activity. It tells your story in a way that no studio portrait ever can.
A lifestyle portrait is very personal and takes time to create. The process starts with a conversation about you and your family, what some of your favorite places are, and what you like to do together. You might choose to include just your immediate family or to gather the whole clan for a multi-generation portrait.
I will meet you in your home, which lets me see possible locations there and also to help you decide where to display your portrait when it’s completed. Together we’ll pick a location and schedule a photography date.
During your session we can create several poses and photograph smaller groups or individuals as well as the whole family. It will be a fun and relaxed experience, even if you haven’t liked being in front of the camera in the past.
About a week after your session you’ll come to my home offfice to view your portraits. I project them on a big screen so you can select your favorite poses and expressions. I’ll show you what your portrait looks like at several sizes to help you choose one that is appropriate to your home. You’ll place your order at that time. A few weeks later I will bring your finished portrait to your home.
Summer is the most popular time for portraits and I’ve already started booking sessions. If you haven’t had a family portrait made in a long time call me at 360-671-6851 to schedule a consultation and begin the conversation.
