Bridge at Whatcom Falls, Summer

Vine Maple (Acer circinatum) leaves blowing in a gentle breeze frame the stone arch bridge and Whatcom Falls on a pleasant June afternoon. The bridge was built as a WPA project and at one time carried a water main hidden underneath the pedestrian walkway. The falls and bridge are in Bellingham's Whatcom Falls Park, accessible from Lakeway Drive.
