This view of Mt. Shuksan attracts photographers from all over the world, and is published often. The mountain is in North Cascades National Park, but the viewpoint here is Picture Lake at Heather Meadows in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. A wheelchair-accessible paved path leads around the lake, including the vantage point for this photograph. Mid-September is usually the peak time for fall foliage and ripe blueberries around the lake.
