Eastern Box TurtleThis Eastern Box Turtle, Terrapene carolina carolina, was in the middle of a West Virginia backroad. I stopped and moved it to the side before taking a series of portraits. As a child, we had a Box Turtle that visited our garden every summer for many years, becoming a non-captive pet. |
