Nature and
Environmental Photography
I grew up hiking the West Virginia hills and
started learning to identify the trees and wildflowers as a child. When
I moved west I had to learn an entirely different group of plants. I believe
that humans are intimately connected to the land and it is important to
understand the world around us. There's also a great deal of beauty in
the natural world.
Whether you need illustrations of natural environments,
ID shots of particular species, artistic floral interpretations, or environmental
issues, I can find them for you quickly. You can get in touch with
me by e-mail to mark@turnerphotographics.com
or call 360-671-6851 to discuss useage rights and fees before you grab
anything.
Most of my work from 2003 to the present has been created with Canon digital SLRs, including the D60 and EOS 1Ds Mark II. Prior to that I shot 35mm on
a variety of film stocks, primarily Fuji Velvia and Sensia 100. I also
work with 6x6 and 6x17 panoramic formats when a larger transparency
is called for.
