Garden PhotographyPhotographing gardens is my specialitiy. These images show a small selection of my methodically indexed collection of over 45,000 horticultural transparencies and digital originals. Whether you need illustrations of garden designs and features, ID shots of particular species,or artistic floral interpretations, I can find them for you quickly. Starting in 2005 original photography is in digital format, using a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II high-resolution camera. Previews of these are being added as time allows, organized by shoot date and location. Most of my work from 2004 and earlier is in 35mm on a variety of film stocks, primarily Fuji Velvia and Sensia 100. I also work with 6x6 and 6x17 panoramic formats when a larger transparency is called for. All images © 1993 -2005 Mark Turner. You can get in touch with me by e-mail to mark@turnerphotographics.com or call 360-671-6851 to discuss useage rights and fees before you grab anything. Tour Kallisti's Garden![]() Kallisti's Garden, south of Walla Walla, Washington is a great example of xeric gardening. Jim Swayne has taken two acres of former wheat field and turned it into an outstanding garden. The photos were made in late June, 2003. For a bit more about Kallisti's, visit the Gopher Reserve & Spa page, where you'll discover all the plants he propagates for rock gardeners. |

Tour Sunshine Farm Display GardenBarry Glick's Sunshine Farm in rural Renick, West Virginia is a mountaintop garden delight. Mark visited this garden in early June, 2000 and created dozens of images. Two more visits in June, 2001 and October, 2001 round out extensive coverage of this garden. Take a virtual tour on the Sunshine Farm web pages, which will open in a new browser window. |
